Terms of Use
Permissions & Licensing
Most of the work on this site is offered under a Creative Commons licence. The specific licence is stated on each item, not once for the whole site, because the terms that suit a finished paper do not always suit a working draft or a downloadable packet.
Where an item carries no licence notice, assume all rights are reserved and write to ask.
- What you may always do
- Read, print, quote with attribution, and link to anything published here. Teaching use of the papers is welcomed and needs no permission.
- Attribution
- Credit Greg Warnock and name Warnock Commons as the source, with a link to the item where a link is practical.
- Translation and reprint
- Requests to translate a paper or reprint it in a collection are read individually and usually granted. Write to the address below with what you intend and where it will appear.
- Commercial use
- Depends on the item’s licence. Ask before assuming.
- Inventions
- Nothing in the Inventions room is licensed for manufacture by its appearance here. Patent rights are reserved. Licensing enquiries are welcome and go to the same address.
- Writing to ask
- permissions@warnockcommons.org — a clear request naming the item, the use, and the audience is usually answered within the week.
